PRESS: STLC unit owns 37 jets abroad, part frozen by sanctions

MOSCOW, Feb 14 (PRIME) -- GTLK Europe, affiliate of Russia's State Transport Leasing Company (STLC), owns 37 jets abroad, some of them were blocked by sanctions, CEO Roman Lyadov told Vedomosti in an interview published on Tuesday.

"37 jets are in Russia and are used by Russian airlines, 37 more are abroad. They are partially blocked," Lyadov said. According to Vedomosti, the jets are Boeings and Airbus.

The official said that STLC had bought several ships after the introduction of sanctions, and was in negotiations with all leasees of jets and ships. He added that the company could buy out jets that are not in use in a few months.
